CONGRATULATIONS MR. SARKOZY!

President Elect Nicolas Sarkozy
I would like to personally congratulate Nicolas Sarkozy for his victory in the French presidential election. He is a visionary that we at Arthur's Hall of Viking Manliness can be proud of. Nicolas Sarkozy is the son of a Hungarian immigrant to France and considering the xenophobia of the French, it is an incredible accomplishment that he is now the President Elect.

Unlike so many of the idiots who live in France, Sarkozy is a relatively pro-US conservative. He has vowed to break France (now capitalized here on the Hall) free of its socialist chains. You will hear him called a liberal, which in France means that he favors Laissez-Faire policies. It does not mean that he is a liberal in the American sense.

Sarkozy, as the Interior Minister of France, pushed for reforms as simple as cutting off aid for welfare recipients that refused jobs. To us this seems obvious, but in France this is a radical departure from the norm. He has also vowed to create a maximum income tax rate of 50%. Once again, for us enlightened conservative this sounds absurd but in France this is seen as an act of class warfare. The reason I point this out is to show how truly insane France has become. France has been a dying nation for decades... rife with unemployment, social upheaval, and decaying moral standards. Sarkozy and apparently 53% of the French electorate have finally seen this to be the truth. Welcome to real world France!!

Sarkozy is known for his blunt oratory and ruthless ambition. To many in Europe, this is seen as a negative, while real men like the men who reside at this Great Hall, know that a man must exhibit these traits to be an effective leader. He called the immigrants who rioted in France in 2005 “scum” and of course that is exactly what the Muslim slums of France are full of.

Sarkozy has also questioned the French policy of funding religious institutions. He has proposed subsidizing mosques as a way of integrating the large Muslim population into French society. In America, we do not have official subsidies of religious practices but our law prohibits the taxation of any religious organization. In France, the government subsidizes churches but is selective in the application of the subsidies. This has led to Muslim mosques being funded from outside sources, most of which are antagonistic to the West in general.

Sarkozy, contrary to the endless ranting of super-bitch communist opponent Sengolene Royal, did oppose the war in Iraq. He did however lambaste “French arrogance” in the way that the Chirac administration seemed to revel in the struggles of the US in Iraq. Historically the French have obstructed the United States at the UN. Having some leading France who finally sees the truth about his own nation is a breath of fresh air.

The election of Nicolas Sarkozy marks a new era in French and European politics. When paired with the election of Merkel in Germany, it is obvious that the common European has come to realization that their society is dying, and the only thing that will save it is the rebirth of nationalism and pride. The parallels to the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980 are easy to see. Reagan was elected in a time of national malaise that led to economic stagnation and diminishing global influence. Here is to the French Ronald Reagan, Nicolas Sarkozy!! Viva le Sarkozy's France!!
